Judy Karrenbrock

Owner and Licensed Physical Therapist

With 23 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy settings as well as adult Neuro-rehabilitation and home health prior to that, I decided to start my own private practice over 4 years ago! My dream is to provide therapy coming from a culmination of experiences to help little ones achieve their highest level of motor skills possible and to improve their quality of life!

I love to empower parents to walk their journey, sometimes with difficult challenges, and to have hope in the unique potential for their child. Each session will yield results towards your child’s goals!

My continuing education training has included DMI-Dynamic Movement Intervention- Intermediate Level A trained, TASES-Task Specific Electrical Stimulation Level 4 trained, Therapeutic Evaluation & Treatment of Toe Walking, TMR Tots-1, Theratogs-certified Fitter Levels 1 and 2, Neuroplasticity for children, certification in Hippotherapy, NDT, Cerebral Palsy and Gait, Yoga for children, NICU training, and Sensory Integration. I have a ton of experience working with babies with PIagiocephaly and Torticollis with great results! We are not a “cookie cutter” clinic that relies on insurance and standardized tests to set the bar for the quality and frequency of therapy that each individual child needs. We are private pay with very reasonable costs and can provide a Superbill for you to file out of network with your insurance and can accept FSA/HSA for payments.

When I’m not at my clinic, you can find me walking, hiking, or spending time with family and friends. My husband is also a Physical Therapist and has been my biggest supporter of starting my own practice! Now that we are empty nesters having raised 4 children of our own, our “babies” are our two cats :)

BIG LOVE 🤍 FROM THE PARENTS :

Judy is a phenomenal PT. Both of my children worked with her during a two week intensive session, and every day was better and better. She quickly learned my children and worked on a variety of exercises with each of them. She was able to modify DMI exercises for my 6 and 9 year old to teach me new ways to work with them in a home setting. I can’t wait for my kiddos to see her again soon! She is simply the best!

This is the best pediatric physical therapist! We drive from Dallas, because she is the best and has changed my son’s lifte!! We can’t recommend her enough.

Judy is absolutely fantastic!! My daughter has significant delayed motor function due to brain damage, and was not expected to be able to do much at all. Now Penny can sit up on her own with very good trunk and head control! Her arms and legs have both gotten much stronger and she tolerates the exercises so much better now. Judy is extremely patient, considering Penny is 13 months old and has a short attention span. She gave her many breaks and was always empathetic to Pennys moods and feelings when doing the challenging therapy, while still pushing her. We are so happy we did DMI therapy with Judy, I would absolutely recommend her, we will definitely be using her again!

We loved having Judy come to our home for a PT intensive! She was confident, patient even when our toddler was not excited about the hard work and full of knowledge to share. She helped our three year old build some great foundational skills that I am still seeing her use and improve on months later! I would 100% recommend Free to Play!

Mrs. Judy is as special as they come! She has worked with my daughter since she was just three weeks old and has helped her achieve all of her milestones. She is gentle, patient, accommodating, and so kind. She not only provides sessions but so many wonderful resources to continue educating parents about their child’s PT goals. We are so, so blessed by Free to Move and Play!

Judy is an incredible resource for children needing physical therapy and is wonderful to work with. She is also a great resource for parents actively looking to support their children. She is very thorough and guides/teaches with empathy, creativity, and courage. Judy made a big impact on my 18 month old son during our week long Intensive. We loved our time with her and look forward to working with her in the future.

Judy is literally the best! She has been working with my daughter since she was 2 months old, treating her torticollis. Judy is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when showing you the exercises, making it easy for you to do the exercises for your child when you get home. You can look at my daughter now and not even know she struggled with torticollis. She has full range. I would recommend Judy to any family!

We came across Judy in a very difficult time in our lives. Our baby was born with craniosynostosis, at three months of age had an endoscopic strip craniectomy surgery and two weeks later we found Judy. After doing an online search, I decided to call her for a consultation. I was surprised that she picked up the phone and I was able to speak to her directly. That spoke volumes. As parents, we want the best possible and personalized care for our kids, specially in unique situations like ours--something that is very hard to find nowadays. I knew at that moment that I wanted to work with Judy and trust her with our child.
Since day one, Judy was so caring and sweet to our baby; her genuine nature made us feel comfortable and valued. After every therapy session my husband and I felt empowered and with a sense of knowledge needed to help our little baby thrive. (continued in next column)

… After 8 months of working with Judy, our baby has "graduated" and we cannot feel more thankful to have found such a great therapist. Most importantly, we found a wonderful human being who is a good-hearted who truly loves to live by purpose.

Wow! So glad we found Judy to help with our daughter with low muscle tone. We did a week of sessions with Judy, and our daughter improved more in the last week than she has with months of conventional PT. Judy taught us so many new exercises to continue at home, and we are excited to continue to see the progress. We are so thankful for Judy’s unique approach, her DMI experience, and encouraging heart. Thank you Judy!
